REGULATION IN THE  ENGLISH LINGUAGE

1)   The “FATA Assicurazioni Danni” with the patronage of he Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, of the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique, della Photographic Society of America and of the Italian Federation of Photographic Associations organizes, in cooperation with "The Sole 24 Ore Specialized Publishing", the fifth edition of International Photography Award "Target Agriculture" regarding the agricultural world in all its forms and expressions.

 

2) The Award is divided into three themes:  

a)  THE AGRICULTURAL AND NATURALISTIC LANDSCAPE

The "agricultural landscape" includes the representation of the rural landscape characterized by crops (cultivated fields aimed at the cultivation and / or breeding of animals) and all the works created by man to provide and support the development of agriculture. The "naturalistic landscape" are all the natural areas also untouched by human such as forests, parks, lakes, mountains, etc.

 

b)  FIELDWORK AND ITS FRUITS

The "work in the fields" is use to refered of all the activities in the country made by man aimed at the cultivation and / or breeding of animals (as processes relating to the crops such as grapes, olives, fruit, corn and as processes relating to animals such as milk, meat, etc.). The "fruits" are  the representation of any product of the earth at any time of the stage, such as the treatment of the land, the cultivation or the use.

 

c)   MODERN AGRICULTURE AND RENEWABLE ENERGIES

The "modern mechanized agriculture" is referred to the modern techniques and equipment involved in all stages, planting and breeding, industrial processing, marketing of topical processes relating to the crops (grapes, olives, fruits, cereals, etc..) and animals (milk, meat . fish, etc..), as well as new forms of agricultural land use (farmholiday and nurseries) and the last frontiers of agriculture plants that use renewable energy such as solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, hydropower, etc.

 

3) Participation is reserved for photographers from around the world, amateurs or professionals. The works sent by them will participate to all stages of the competition. The people involved in organization and their closest relatives, employees of “FATA Assicurazioni Danni S.p.a.” and of “Il Sole 24 Ore Specialized Publishing” can not participate.

 

4) The images participating in this contest must not have participated in previous editions of "Obiettivo Agricoltura” and must arrive as digital files (or as analog images digitalized) in JPG format with the longest side between 2500 and 3500 pixels and at a resolution of 300 DPI (Large files are welcome to print the catalog) and can be sent in CD’s, DVD’s or in the website form www.obiettivoagricoltura.it or by email at the following address: info@obiettivoagricoltura.it (we recommend only this address, the emails that will arrive at other unauthorized addresses will be deleted). Each image must be marked with the first two letters of the surname, the first two letters of the author's name, the letter of the topic and the sequence number (Newman Paul who will participate to the topic “the countryside” will mark his images with NEPAA1 etc...), the title of the works must be given in the participation card or in the form.
 

5) Each competitor can participate with up to four images in the “A”, "B" and “C” topic, whether they are independent or linked.

 

6) Each competitor can participate to one or to all topics, dividing the work into folders, organized by topics, writing his name and the theme letter (A, B, C,) to which he plans to participate. Inside the shipment bag (or e-mail) must be sent also the registration card (attached to the notice of competition, as a photocopy or printed from the internet site www.obiettivoagricoltura.it ), written in all its parts in capital letters.
 
7) The digital support (CD-DVD) with images participating to the competition must be sent in a sealed envelope (or e-mail) to Concorso Fotografico Obiettivo Agricoltura” c/o Circolo Fotografico Arno Via Roma 2, 50063 Figline Valdarno (Italia).

 

8) Calendar:
   - Last day for receipt of works September 10, 2011
   - Jury Meeting September 16/18, 2011
   - Photo Exhibition of works and screening November 18/26, 2011 (Rome, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry)

   - Award Ceremony November 26, 2011 (Rome, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry)

9) The fee to participate to the contest, as a partial contribution to the costs, is € 22.00 or U.S.$ 30.00 (or 35 IRC) per participant and can be paid as follows:

The works not accompanied by the participation fee (check, postal payment slip or postal order, PayPal) will not be judged or returned.

 

10) The “FATA Assicurazioni Danni S.p.a.”, has the right to use the pictures rewarded for advertising campaigns, for the publication on its prints, advertising supports (6x3 road signs or other dimensions, calendars and so on) on any volumes related to the award, on prints inherent the ceremony, on internet sites, on media storages (CD, DVD and so on) or for promotional exposures of the award and, anyway, whenever the “FATA Assicurazioni Danni S.p.a” will consider it necessary. The Sole 24 Ore Specialized Publishing and the New Holland Company have the right to use the pictures rewarded and allowed, for the publication on its prints, prior approval of “FATA Assicurazioni Danni S.p.a” and always mentioning the source or the authors of the photographs.

 

11) Every author is responsible for the contents of their works and participating to this award they declare all image and legal rights of what portrayed.
 
12) The Jury selects at his sole opinion the works. The awards are not cumulative.

14) The Jury reserves, in its sole discretion, to not accept those images whose representation is presumed to bear d amage towards organizers and to allocate the prize according to his technical opinion and culture.

 

15) The organization, while ensuring the utmost care in handling and in exposing the pictures, disclaims any responsibility for loss, fire, theft or damage.

 

16) The prizes must be withdrawn at the award ceremony by the winner or any person delegated by him. Otherwise, they will be sent home, by courier or by post.


17) To all participants will be sent a catalogue with all awarded pictures. The catalogue will have a dimension of 22x24 with 240 pages and more than 300 pictures.


18) The prize implies to the participant, the unconditional acceptance of this regulation and participating means knowledge of this regulation.
